Employee Training & Education

Accredited researchers Dr. Coley and Dr. Baum report in the 2021 Journal of Translational Behavioral Medicine that the significant disparities in mental health disorders and treatment raise concerns for psychological, social, and economic recovery from COVID-19. Consequently, it is critical ongoing training and education become foundational components of professional development for staff and workers regularly engaging with individuals and families struggling with mental and behavioral health.

The Santé Group is committed to addressing the essential need for high-quality training and education throughout the 13 counties and two states we serve. We offer an array of training and educational resources to our internal team as well as external partners seeking to enhance the behavioral health acumen of their staff.

Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) programs facilitate safer and more effective crisis response systems throughout communities through partnerships with law enforcement, mental health professionals, and mental health advocates, among other strategic partners. CIT is a catalyst to improve community responses to mental health crises by connecting individuals and families to the treatment, services, and resources they desperately need.

The Santé Group’s CIT staff and coordinators are dedicated to bolstering CIT programs and CIT training throughout Maryland and North Carolina. To read more about CIT, download CIT International’s Guide to Best Practices in Mental Health Response.
