"Innovative Strategies for Community, School, and Workplace Crisis Events."
Call for Papers 2007
Dear Colleagues and Friends, The Affiliated Santé Group is pleased to bring you our 4th Annual Symposium on Crisis Intervention on October 25th of this year.
Don’t miss this chance to be a part of our 2007 conference entitled, "Innovative Strategies for Community, School, and Workplace Crisis Events."
Presentations may focus on leading edge ideas and research on safety assessments for individuals in crisis, mental health and law enforcement integration, disaster response and more contemporary ideas on navigating and negotiating crisis situations.
This year’s Symposium provides an excellent opportunity to examine the role that Crisis Intervention plays in helping communities to prevent and overcome critical incidents. Our goal is to equip our attendees with new strategies to help clients who have experienced exposure to trauma and debrief and stabilize following critical incidents.
We strongly encourage you to submit proposals for presentations, workshops, and table-top exhibitions. We aim to bring together professionals from different focuses to share their experiences and ideas to examine the challenges and solutions needed to build a better system.
We are interested in topics relating to: • Safety Assessments for Individuals in Crisis • Secondary Trauma for Crisis Responders • Clinical Indications for Child and Adolescent Violence and Strategies for Prevention • The Truth About Mandated Mental Health Treatment • Determining the Role of Addiction in the Assessment Process • Reintegrating Veterans and PTSD • Integration of Mental Health and Law Enforcement • Elders in crisis: Assisting the Elderly in the Community • Disaster Response
We look forward to this event with great anticipation and invite you to help continue our tradition of providing the Crisis Intervention community with another successful conference that helps provide professionals with experienceand ideas to better treat victims of community, school and workplace crisis events.
Can’t wait to see you in the fall.
Sincerely,
Allison Paladino, LCSW-C, Director
