COMMUNITY LIVING SERVICES (CLS) AND
RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM
 (RRP)


 

Purpose:

To assist individuals to live independently in the community.

 

Individuals Served:

  • Adults with severe and persistent mental illness (RRP)
  • Adults with developmental disabilities and emotional or behavioral challenges (CLS)
  • Adults with both disorders (CLS)

 

Program: 

Provides behavioral, social, and recreational support within the community living arrangements. Practical life skills are supported, taught, and used in housing and in the community-at-large.

 

Learning Opportunities:

  • Independent living skills
    • Managing Money
    • Cooking and eating healthy food
    • Using public transportation
    • Using good personal hygiene
    • Medication administration and monitoring
    • Housekeeping activities
       
  • Interpersonal and social skills
    • Developing, improving, and sustaining relationships at home, school, work, and community
    • Networking, recreating, and developing friendships in the community through planned activities
  • Behavioral Self Management
    • Maximizing insight into dysfunctional behavior
    • Learning skills and techniques to cope with mental illness and to minimize symptoms
  • Community adaptation
    • Therapeutic recreation in real-life settings

 

Staffing: 

Qualified professional and paraprofessional staff that meets the requirements of DDA-licensed and MHA-licensed homes.

 

Hours of Operations & Supervision

A broad range of supervised settings are available ranging from 24-hour awake overnight supervision to drop-in support.  Services are available 7 days per week at the number of hours specific to each person’s supervisory needs.

  • Maryland Medical Assistance (Medicaid) (RRP)
  • Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administraton (CLS)
  • Private pay
