OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC (OMHC)

Purpose:

To assist persons experiencing mental illness achieve recovery by providing psychotherapy, counseling, medication evaluation and management through a multi-disciplinary team.

Individuals Served:

• Children, adolescents, adults, and seniors who have:
  • Severe and persistent mental illness
  • Developmental disabilities and or emotional or behavioral challenges
  • Individuals with co-occurring disorders

Services:

• Psychiatric evaluation
• Psychotherapy: individual, group, family, expressive arts, and play therapy
• Medication evaluation and management
• Linkage to community-based resources
• 24-hour emergency on-call availability with psychiatrist support
• Inpatient hospitalization coordination

Staffing: 

Appropriately licensed, credentialed and experienced staff including board-certified psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, licensed social workers, expressive arts therapists, and counselors.

Hours of Operation: 

Monday - Friday
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM 
Evening appointments available

• Baltimore County
• Montgomery County
• Prince George’s County
• St. Mary’s County

Fees: 

Services must be pre-authorized and are paid for through a variety of sources including Maryland Medical Assistance (Medicaid) and private insurance plans.
